Frequently Asked Questions

Lead time is typically 4-6 months, however holidays, SHOT show, and our staff’s military obligations can affect this. A safe assumption is the more complex the Cerakote, the longer it will take. Single color/two tone non pattern guns, that are ordered exactly as on our packages will get done the fastest. 

1. Obtain a base rifle from the platforms above, OR let us know if you'd like Mad Pig to supply the base rifle for you (additional cost). 

2. Download the correct order form (Marlin, Henry, or Cerakote) below. 

3. Email your completed order form to info@madpigcustoms.com. We'll reply with a copy of our FFL to accompany the shipment. 

4. Ship your rifle unloaded and clear of ammunition, along with a printed copy of your order form, to: ATTN Mad Pig Customs, 39 North Plains Industrial Rd, Suite A, Wallingford, CT 06492. 

5. On receipt, we inspect, confirm your order, and invoice a 60% deposit. 

6. We build. Turnaround is typically several months depending on package and backlog. We keep you posted. 

7. When your rifle is complete, we confirm your return shipping address and take the remaining 40% balance.

Yes, on a limited basis. Most of our work is on customer-supplied rifles that we modify and return directly to the owner. We do sell finished firearms shipped to your local FFL, though we don't typically carry a large in-stock inventory. It never hurts to ask — email info@madpigcustoms.com.

Absolutely. This is a sad but common occurrence, unfortunately you will typically spend more fixing a bad “gunsmith” job than getting it done right the first time. For most repairs, we cannot quote cost until we have the firearm in our shop and have inspected it to figure out what needs to be done. 

We believe we make among the best lever guns in the industry, however if you don’t want to use us, please check out the following shops who are extremely competent and well versed in these types of guns.

We do NOT work on Winchester 94, Rossi R92, Browning BLR, or Chiappa pattern rifles.  

General gunsmithing: We're a full-service shop with in-house machining, Cerakote, and gunsmiths on staff.

Yes, contingent on volume orders only. If you have access to 5-10 guns and want them done at once, we can discuss discounts.

Yes. Ensure you have a full inventory of parts that you’ve supplied with your rifle attached to your order form and inform bobby@madpigcustoms.com before you send your rifle in for work so we can adjust your pricing accordingly. That said, we’ve found that it will not save you money doing it that way and recommend just sending in your base gun and having us supply the rest of the parts. 

Yes and no. 

Our applicator staff will not duplicate another applicators work, we have our own style to things and while we will do things similar, exact copies of others work isn’t something we believe in doing. Color matching, we will work on getting an approximate match for additional cost. 

Color matching will only be done if we are supplied with a part of the color to be matched. We cannot and will not color match off of a print out, or photo as colors get lost due to image filters, print tones and hues etc… Email lib@madpigcustoms.com with specific inquiries.
