The Tracker

In 2020 we were contacted by well known Hollywood Armorer Rock Gallotti to build a rifle for the upcoming John Wick 4 film. We worked with a number of industry partners on a tight timeline to make these builds happen. They are Marlin(Remington made) 1894 Dark .44 Mag base rifles. We will not be making replicas of these to order, the reason why is that in 2023 we have far superior options for the parts available than existed in 2020 when we did these guns. These guns were also built for aesthetics to suit the film vs functionality of a hard use firearm. Mad Pig will be offering the Tracker Package in the future, which is a takedown variant of our Thumper V2A1 package in partnership with Wild West Guns. 

13 guns were built for the film. 

2 "Hollywood" Takedowns, these are quarter turn interrupted thread takedowns 

2 Takedowns, these are full threaded take down guns in the Wild West Guns Co Pilot style

8 Non Takedown guns that are built to look identical to the takedowns

Base Rifle: Marlin 1894 Dark .44 Mag

Midwest Industry Marlin handguard - milled with a scalloped front to accomodate SilencerCo ASR muzzle brake with barrel cut back to 14.5" and the ASR pinned and welded for 16" OAL

XS Sights optic rail - this is a proprietary full length version of the XS Lever Rail that was developed in partnership between XS and Mad Pig Customs specifically for this movie. They are not and will not be comercially available. 

XS Luminescent front sight, the front sight strip used a proprietary blue luminescent stripe

Mad Pig Customs Enhanced Takedown Screw

Rangerpoint Precision 3D Printed stock, these are out of production due to poor durability

Grim Hunter Tactical Gear Stock Cuff and ammo card, these were also specially made for the movie with thinner webbing so that more of the shell casing was visible on screen. 

SilencerCo Octane 45 was the silencer used

Slate Black Industries makes the handstop and polymer rail covers that cover the handguard

The guns were all hand fitted, and Cerakoted with a  combination of Cerakote Armor Black and Elite Blackout in order to give a two tone sheen difference which showed up quite well under the cinematic lighting of the film.
